The launch of the Sea Harvester

PC081023 This is what my husband has been quietly stressing over for the last couple of weeks. His beloved boat has been in the final stages of getting transported over a rather tricky route to Doubtful Sound.

You’ll be pleased to know that all went well, the boat was loaded onto the truck, transported to Manapouri, went over the Lake on the Barge, and over a steep and narrow gravel road to Doubtful. It also unloaded just fine and there was even enough of a weather window to steam from Doubtful back up to Milford. Thor tells me they caught enough fish for a meal that night and also enough Crayfish for lunch the next day.  They’ll now spend a couple of days fishing and come home with plenty of fish for all of us.
