As I write the quilting symposium is in full swing down in Queenstown. I took my first class yesterday and had a great time.
I took the “Cut work” class with Yvonne Brown. Oh she does some lovely work, and I really enjoyed the whole day. I finished a couple of samples but came away with a ton of ideas.
I also went to a lecture at lunch time which was by a bead artist called Larkin Von Horn….oh my goodness. What amazing work she does. We went to see her class samples at the end of the day and I’m sorry I didn’t take some of her classes too. The things you find out afterwards….
I’ll be back tomorrow for a class doing fabric postcards and another lecture at lunch time. I also want to go back on Saturday just to go shopping and for a look around all the exhibitions.
This is one of the class samples that Yvonne showed us…so clever!
and the other one is the sample that I made.
It doesn’t look quite so good as a photo but then that is always the way.
I really recommend taking a class with Yvonne if you get the chance

Sounds inspiring Corrine, enjoy!
Have fun at the symposium, I bet you'll feel inspired afterwards!
If you come across a lady called Robyn Jerebine, say hello, she's my neighbour! :D
Very nice!
